In the past 3 years, I have had many opportunities for design work in my role as a mechanical engineer, ranging from hardware to facility projects to process and programming work.
Currently I am the 3D printing, IIoT, and process engineer lead within my department. I also tackle safety and facility projects along with data collection and analysis. My current role allows me to expand my design experience from your typical hardware and facility projects to more abstract designs such as programming apps and standardized measurement and handover documents.
Due to my expansive role within my team, along with my previous experiences throughout college, I have gathered a wide range of design experience that has helped me concentrate on functionality, quality, user interface, human and environmental interactions, and aesthetics. Moreover, my experience with the research and planning phase of design has been enhanced with the opportunity to gather information and input from line associates, stakeholders, and the everyday user within my role.
